She feels like she’s a fake who stole the life her parents’ real daughter and that she doesn’t deserve any happiness or autonomy. I especially loved the part towards to the end of the volume (and this is where I get into spoilers) where Annis tells Yufie the secret she was planning to take to her grave: she has memories of her previous life and she often thinks about what happened to the “original” Annis. Yufie reflects on her feelings towards Annis and it’s interesting to see her try to understand Annis’s feelings and Annis in particular gets a lot of development in this volume as we find out that she tends to disregard her own emotions for the sake of everyone around her. There’s a lot to love about this volume with regards to how thoroughly is explores the series’ leads.
